Why did you decide to join HGV?

Because of my previous internship, I could imagine starting my career at Holtzbrinck. When I received the offer from HGV, I didn't have to think long. Starting as a management team associate in a media corporation straight after graduating - I couldn't think of anything better.

What was your development within the Holtzbrinck group like?

During my master's I was an intern at Holtzbrinck Publishing Group. I worked closely together with  Holtzbrinck Buchverlage. When writing my master's thesis, about a year later, I joined HGV as a management team associate. To be continued :)

What are the special challenges you and your team are currently facing?

One of the greatest challenges is probably to continue to develop and complete transformations. With the implementation of first agile structures a start has been made, but this needs to be expanded in the future. Furthermore, we need to think about how to improve our technical and organizational framework conditions in order to guarantee even more productive processes that run as smoothly as possible.

What would you recommend to students and graduates who want to start as a management team associate?

On the one hand, I can recommend being open to all kinds of subject areas. The job is very versatile when it comes to topics, and it helps to have an inquiring mind and being willing to regularly deal with new subject matters. On the other hand, I recommend being brave and not being afraid to speak your mind. In this job, you often get thrown in the deep end, and that can be quite challenging, but also provides a wonderful opportunity for learning a great deal.
