At Macmillan Learning you can start your career in educational publishing and technology as an Editorial or Marketing Assistant. These roles provide support to the Directors of each department with project planning and maintenance of projects. They will also collaborate with different teams across the company, including customer experience, sales, technology, etc. There will also be various administrative tasks while gaining exposure to educational publishing and technology.

Another great way to learn more about educational publishing and technology is by starting your career on Macmillan Learning's Sales team. Our sales team members collaborate with all departments and often move into other areas within the company. Our Sales Support Associates help our sales representatives in aiding all of our clients by handling all incoming requests. Another sales role is our Inside Sales Representative who are expected to engage in the daily proactive sales efforts considered vital to promote our products and reach their assigned annual sales goal.

Our German based publishing houses and media companies offer exciting post-grad trainee programs (Traineeprogramme or Volontariate) in different areas, like editing, marketing, production and accounting. you will support the team in their daily tasks and take on your own projects. Working with experienced professionals coupled with intensive training, you will build up valuable expert knowledge and skills. By working with other departments or by job shadowing in related departments and sister companies, you will get to know the functions and processes of a publishing house in detail. In various German based companies of the Holtzbrinck Group, we offer an entry-level position as Management Team Associate.
